Fire is an art that adds to it’s environment. One of the elements in it’s most raw and dangerous form. Max aka Shouden, has learned not to harness the fire, but to manipulate it in a way that is unique in it’s own right. Shouden first started spinning poi about two years ago and fell in love with the art from the first time he spun. In fact it has extended into other areas such as fire breathing and trailing. Trailing is the art of dragging a lit torch over bare flesh.

Shouden’s performances are very unique in the fact that he puts all he has into his performances and at the same time, you can tell he loves what he does. It shows in his style of dancing. Shouden practices diligently every day to ensure that his skills are up to par, and that he can bring the most enjoyable show to his audiences. From the moment he lights up his poi, to the moment they go out, you will be entranced watching the circles of light streaking across the night sky.

He decided that fire performing needed to be taken to a new level. It is with this ideal that he formed Fierce Progression with Mel (Liquid Prodigy). His professionalism is outstanding and he has the references to prove it. He has previously performed for a variety of events including several local clubs, weddings, and private parties.
